Individual Monetary Giving

The Cheer Guild is a tax exempt 501©(3) organization. We receive financial support from membership dues, donations from chapters, individual and organization donors, the four hospital gift shops we manage and various fundraisers. We appreciate financial gifts that help us further our mission. Donors can designate areas for their donation to support, such as the endowment fund, the Toy Room. the Music Therapy Program at Riley Hospital for Children, or the Art Therapy Program in the Simon Cancer Center at University Hospital. Many donors choose to send tributes in honor or remembrance of someone, while others choose to donate in honor of birthdays, weddings and anniversaries.

A Unique Wedding Favor

Chad and Kimberly Robards were married on February 21, 2009. After much time and consideration given to how they could show their appreciation to friends and family for helping them to celebrate the beginning of their new life together, they decided to make a donation to The Cheer Guild in honor of each of their guests in lieu of a traditional wedding favor. The Cheer Guild assisted them in creating place cards at each seat for the reception explaining this gift. In addition, each guest was given a response card that could be mailed with a monetary donation to The Cheer Guild in honor of the newly married couple.
